The Sunday Times acclaimed it as a production that ‘affirms Mozart’s most beloved masterpiece as both of its time and perennially modern, Grandage oiling the comic mechanisms of Lorenzo Da Ponte’s libretto with a master technician’s hands.

From the Glyndeboune stage production:

“Figaro himself was tackled by the Neapolitan baritone Vito Priante, who gave a focused account (“Non più andrai” was a particularly memorable moment). His diction, too, was crisp. His emotional highlight came towards the end with his poignant “Pace, pace, mio dolce tesoro” (addressed to Susanna).” (Seen and Heard International, August  2012)

“Vito Priante’s lively Figaro and Lydia Teuscher’s shimmering Susanna have well-matched presence” (The Telegraph, July 2012)

“The superb, at-first-innocent Figaro. “  (Wall Street Journal, June 2012)
“A strong cast is led by Vito Priante as Figaro ...” (London Evening Standard, June 2012)
